If you want something you’ve never had, you GOTTA start doing things you’ve never done.
The truth is… I used to HATE working out. My best friend in college used to bribe me to go to the gym with her.
I would force myself to go because I’m a good friend (and her bribes were always great ?).
But all kidding aside, I am glad she was persistent. My life would be completely different today if she had let me stay home.
Eventually I fell in love with the gym and working out. (Hello new found confidence! ?)
Years later I was dating a guy (now my hubs- awww ?) who owned a gym. He needed a new trainer immediately and asked if I could temporarily help until he found someone.
I wanted to be a trainer, but I was so scared. I questioned my knowledge and abilities.
Not to mention I am an introvert so the idea of being in a career that requires you to socialize was petrifying. ?
I decided to try training one boot camp class, and that was it folks. I was hooked. I knew I wanted to do it for the rest of my life. That one temporary class turned into my own gym.
What if I had not taken the leap? What if I had let fear decide for me? I would be missing out on a career and life that I am so passionate about.
Take the chances on the things that could bring you closer to where you want to go or who you want to be. You never know where it will lead you. ?
